Actually theres alot involved to dubstep and electronic in general. Dupstep is music just like metal is music. You start from nothing and create your own beats and effects from a blank canvas. To make electonic music you need to know music theory and be able to read sheet music. Metal? I play that too. Im a guitarist. Its easy to make a metal song just drop D and use one finger on each fret like a lazy ass. I respect your opinion, But music is music. Also, Techno and dubstep are both electronic dub is 140 BPM Techno and Druma and bass is higher with faster tempos and beat patterns.

so its techno, but faster and higher pitch... and thats not all there is to metal... its not just power cords, look at rush or lamb of God, at how complex their riffs get... and to the vocals, when they sing with meaning because they've lived through a tragedy, or have felt that anger ... that is what music is, an expression of self... not random beats put together... maybe if you put samples together, for rap or hip-hop, then got some one to put their life story to the beat of your samples... then you'd make music... and possibly be the next Mrs.Dr.Dre lol

No thats just your opinion. I listen to metal. But its nice not to have some angsty depressed young adult screaming at me about death and drugs sex and murder. Music is whatever makes said person enjoy it. There are thousands of different styles of music. Appreciating all kinds is what seperates a fan from a musician.
Music doesnt need lyrics to make it "Music" For someone to appreciate music...seems kinda sad thats how you classify it. But hey, if you enjoy people screaming at you then by all means go ahead. "lol" -

Electronic music in general isnt for "feelings" Its for jamming, Dancing and just fun music to listen too. Thats the reason why i enjoy making this genre of music. One because our generation is transforming the music industry with new styles and two because playing music that gets people up and jamming is a rush. Its fun to pass the entertainment along and then also have people appreciate the hard work put into just making a simple 1:00 track loop of a beat. High hat, bass, effect, Wooble. Its not easy to do. Seriously read up on it, You'll end up appreciating what really goes on behind the scenes in electronica. When i first got into Dubstep i was kinda like you - I only listend to Metal. My favorite band is TOOL and Iron maiden. And i thought "Wtf? a huge ass concert for a DJ all he does is stand up there and press the play button" After looking into the music, There is ALOT of hard work involved in making these tracks. You really got to know your notes and music theory to even make any kind of sound. Its pretty damn amazing actually.

i have made that music before, back in high school for a few projects, and you know why i chose it? because it was easy... you take a good song add random noises and you now have dubstep... it isn't difficult at all, and you don't need to know your music notes and theory, i can play guitar, and trombone, percussion, and bass. and i still don't know how to read music... and yet i can play iron maiden, i've played "mars" on my trombone. you don't need to know theory to put random notes into an already made song.

No, Thats not dubstep Thats called a Remix. Im talking about DJ's that make everything on their own using software like Fruityloops or abelton.

Lol no its not. Lyrics are lyrics. Your just trying to find something to argue against. Lyrics are what the listen takes too. I love that song because i relate to the lyrics. Someone had to sit down and write them. You cant just make Fake lyrics. That doesnt make any sense lol
