Empowerment
Empowerment, by Definition of Wikipedia, is it refers to increasing the spiritual, political, social or economic strength of individuals and communities. It often involves the empowered developing confidence in their own capacities.
Ma ny think "I need my general to do this" or "I need a Director to make this happen." On some points you may need permission to do certain things, but as a community it's about whats makes not only you but a squad/division better. You must understand You have the power within you to be, do, and have anything that your heart desires. You are the designer of your life and KSI!
At the core of the concept of empowerment is the idea of power. The possibility of empowerment depends on two things. First, empowerment requires that power can change. If power cannot change, if it is inherent in positions or people, then empowerment is not possible, nor is empowerment conceivable in any meaningful way. In other words, if power can change, then empowerment is possible. Second, the concept of empowerment depends upon the idea that power can expand. This second point reflects our common experiences of power rather than how we think about power.
A brief exercise makes the importance of this discussion clear. Quickly, list three words that immediately come to mind when you hear the word power. For most people, words that come to mind when we think about power often revolve around control and domination. Focusing on these aspects of power limit our ability to understand and define empowerment.
S o Take it from me, there is no reason you can't do something, you have it easily in your power to increase the sum total of KSI overall happiness now. How? By giving a few words of sincere appreciation to someone who is lonely or discouraged. Perhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a lifetime.
Ever y single person in KSI from the Privates to the Creators of KSI have the Empowerment to not only make themselves better and their divisions better but KSI as a whole better by empowering themselves and empowering other to follow in your footsteps.
Som e viewpoints of empowerment can be differing from the real purpose of Empowerment we as a community are trying to accomplish. Some may say that Empowerment within our ranking structure may stifle the amount of members we are able to bring in, but at this point the leadership of KSI is looking to enhance the overall community for as quick as we can obtain a member we can lose 5 more as 1 enters. So take a step back and remember to enforce empowerment within your own community!
