It has become increasingly evident that as the internet population grows on Xbox live, especially with a melting pot of backgrounds and genders, that a few members have taken it upon themselves to encourage sexually explicit conversation with others.
Within KSI, we encourage members to avoid ALL conversation that may provoke uncomfortable feelings for ANY person regarding their sexual orientation, age, or gender. Alongside this concept is the understanding that KSI members are required to be 16 years of age in order to join. This means that many KSI members are legally adolescents and therefore any sexually explicit conversation is completely unacceptable and will NOT be tolerated by KSI leaders. This also brings into play the issue of other clans having members that use sex as a tool to recruit and allow conversation within their own parties that KSI would certainly not condone. It is a goal of KSI to disband any clan involved in this activity and to disallow those individuals from having any influence or contact with any KSI member. Recently I was involved in a discussion over the Government and Media blaming violent actions taken by young adults on video games. Growing up in the late 60’s early 70’s (Wow am I old) I remember listening to the same ramble about an issue, which concerned the ever-overseeing politicians of that day.
If memory serves me correct in the early 70’s a young man committed suicide. This alone would not have raised any eyebrows but the parents decided that it could not have been their fault and found a scapegoat. His name was Ozzy Osborne. Yes it seems that if you played his music it caused you to have suicidal tendencies. Well you can see how Evil he is today. Back then I would never have believed he would become a TV star but I digress. So far Ozzy has been sued over 25 times by parents who claim their children killed themselves from listening to his music.

Alright everyone, its about time to start preparing once again for this year’s Major League Gaming tournaments to begin. The season starts out late this year with the first event being in North Carolina during the weekend of April 13th-15th and finishes up the regular season in Florida in September the weekend of the 21st-23rd. This year will be a new beginning for some and just another page turn for others. Can Team Carbon prove that last year’s Championship wasn’t a fluke? Can Final Boss strive to come back and dethrone the new champs? And will all the new faces for all the teams, prove to be positive changes? This season is already setting up to be a great one, and you should be sure to try your best to be apart of it.

Okay guys here we go again. On Friday Febuary 9th 2007 Valkyries of Arcadia will be hosting its second annual Valentine Party for female gamers. We'll host a variety of games and competition for everyone to play. One of the special events will be a all Female Tournament. Both Singles and Team Compeition. Below is break down of the competion.


Team Competition
Halo 2: 4 v 4
Gears of War: 4 v 4

Singles Competition
Dead or Alive 4
Tekken 5 and possibly DR

Other side tournaments can be held during the event and those tournaments can be co-ed. With 2 sections to the venue and 17 individual gaming stations and seating for 70 this is the place to be. All special events will be held in the back lounge area. There is a bar upstairs from the venue for all who like to get a drink or two.
